In Odessa for a few days and wanted BBQ. Super friendly staff and the facility is dated for sure. That’s all and well but I went for the food. I was not disappointed at all! I had the 3 meat plate of brisket, ribs and sausage with sides of green beans/mac and cheese. Food was flavorful and moist meat without being too fatty. The bbq sauce was delicious especially the spicy one. Bottom line...I would/will go again!

We lunch here often. I get the sliced brisket with green beans and coleslaw. Hubby gets fried catfish, beans and okra. It is very good food and everyone treats you like good friends. Enjoyable!

I’m very picky about my barbecue. But I will tell you this is a very special place. Brisket isn’t dry. It’s nice and juicy with a good flavor. Sausage and smoked turkey and ham is perfect. More importantly, the staff is so friendly and professional and that’s something you cannot find anywhere. Love this place. This is my home away from home.

Holy smokes the best barbecue in the nation is at this place if you're looking for a road trip this is a 1500 Mile Road Trip the brisket was fantastic the smoke on it was the best the place is clean the bathrooms are clean the barbecue sauce was fantastic and the brisket didn't even need it the sides are great the employees are fantastic this is a really great place give it a try you'll be happy the one thing you can count on is consistency the times I've been there has been exactly the same delicious brisket that doesn't need barbecue sauce but they have excellent sauce if you need it

I had the half plate portion of sliced beef with their tasty coleslaw (2 helpings), cherry peppers and Texas toast to go. The lady and young man who prepared my order were very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Johnny’s Barbecue to all. “A must-visit for delicious, comforting meals.”

I hadn't been here in years, and that was a horrible idea!! This place is still as delicious as it was years ago. Every bite was better than the last. I will not let a month go by, let alone the years I did last time before coming back. Also, the 2 young men working were an absolute pleasure to be around. So Polite, Attentive, Courteous, fast to help they both were. I really can't say enough about how those 2 young men made our experience even better than just the delicious food!! WE WILL BE BACK!!!!...OFTEN
